Tom has spent much of his career making Loyola College a better place. He graduated from Loyola in 1959 after earning four letters as a lacrosse defensemen. After serving as an assistant lacrosse coach in the early 1960's, he became Loyola's swimming coach in 1964. During a distinguished 25 year career, he built swimming and diving into one of the most successful of all Loyola athletic program. He led the men's team to eight consecutive winning seasons before closing out his coaching career after the 1989-90 campaign
