Ed was named as a Distinguished Basketball Player. He co-captained the 1952-53 basketball season with fellow Hall of Fame member Nap Doherty. He finished his senior season as Loyola's third leading scorer while helping the Greyhounds win the Mason-Dixon Conference Tournament Title. He was considered the fastest member of the 52-53 squad and best defensive player. Ed was Tournament Director in the Greyhound Holiday Basketball Tournaments. He attended Patterson Park High School.
