The Greyhounds:
• Loyola sits 0-3 overall in the 2017 season.
• The Greyhounds were downed by UNCW, 3-0, Davidson, 3-0, and Appalachian State, 3-1, in the Springhill Suites Mayfaire Invitational.
• Eleven players return from the 2016 roster, including its leaders in kills (Ann Ernst, 326, 3.54/set), blocks (Haley Puddy, 84), blocks per set (Molly Jarvis, 0.81), assists (Molly Werts, 389) and digs (Erin Cunningham, 241, 4.08).
• Loyola welcomed five freshmen for the 2017 season.

Scouting the Zips:
• The Zips are 1-2 overall in the 2017 season.
• Akron was swept by both Navy and St. Francis (Pa.) in the Bucknell Invitational.
• The Zips took the win against Maryland Eastern Shore, 3-2.
• Madi Baer is returning as one of the team’s top hitters, as she recorded 216 kills and 237 points on the 2016 season. Kayla Gwozdz also returns with 246 kills and 262 points.
• There are nine returning players and six freshmen on Akron’s roster.

Scouting the Explorers:
• The Explorers are 2-1 overall in the 2017 season.
• La Salle fell to Bucknell, 2-3, but topped Iona, 3-1, and the New Jersey Institute of Technology, 3-0 in their season opening tournament.
• La Salle welcomed three newcomers and eight returning players to this year’s squad.
• Jensen Sharrits led the A-10 conference last season with 5.05 digs per set as libero.
• Devin Corah had the highest kills per set for La Salle in 2016, with 3.11.

Scouting the Golden Eagles:
• The Golden Eagles are 2-1 overall in the 2017 season. 
• Tennessee Tech downed N.C. Central, 3-0, and The Citadel, 3-2. Campbell topped the Golden Eagles, 3-0.
• The Golden Eagles graduated their starting libero and setter, but return 14 players.
• Tennessee Tech has only one freshman on its roster.
