Volleyball Earns Highest Team GPA For Fall Semester

Baltimore, Md. - The Greyhound volleyball team recorded the highest team Grade Point Average for the fall semester, according to figures released by Loyola College Athletics. The team earned a team GPA of 3.449, which ranked as the highest among men's and women's sports.

Loyola also added five volleyball players to the 2008 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference All-Academic Team for holding a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.

Seniors Rachel Schillinger (3.43 grade point average, biology major) and Samantha Greenbaum (3.66, classical civilization) each were named to the team for the third time in their Loyola careers, while junior Karlee Woodward (3.23, writing and psychology) earned the honor for the second time.

Sophomores Brittany Born (3.50, elementary education) and Nina Camaioni (3.73, undecided) were named to the team for the first time.
