Volleyball Falls to Fairfield in Final Regular Season Game

Baltimore, Md. - The Loyola College volleyball team fell to Fairfield, 3-0 Saturday afternoon in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action at Reitz Arena. It was the final regular season game for both teams. The Stags won by scores of 30-13, 30-11 and 30-26. Loyola finishes the season with a 9-24 overall record and a 7-11 mark in the conference while Fairfield finishes 21-6 overall and 18-0 in the league.
The `Hounds were led by senior Blair Snyder in her final game in Reitz Arena. She tallied nine kills while adding five digs, two aces and one block assist. Sophomore Maddie Fuller added seven kills. Freshman setter Chrissey Cruz tallied 24 assists and a game-high 12 digs.
For Fairfield, Lindsey Lee led the attack with 13 kills. Katie Mann and Jazmin Pa'akaula each recorded 10 kills with hitting percentages of .529 and .667 respectively. Barbie Thistle dished out 40 assists. Lee and Brandi Higa led the team in digs with 11 each while Kelly Oliver and Thistle each recorded 10.
Loyola will next play in the MAAC Tournament beginning Wednesday. Seedings for the tournament will be release later this week.
