Baltimore, Md. - Becky Corb and Christina Greenup combined for 39 kills as Loyola defeated Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) foe Canisius on Sunday at Reitz Arena by a score of 3-0 to give Greyhound seniors Meghan McCarney and Crystal Sullivan a victory in the final home match of their careers.

Loyola busted out of the gates quickly and never looked back in winning Game One 30-21. Game Two was a seesaw battle with Loyola finally pulling it out, 32-30. The Greyhounds then took control immediately in Game Three, going ahead by as much as seven at 22-15. But, Canisius fought back to within one point at 29-28. The home team wouldn't give up however as it captured the last point on an authoritative Becky Corb spike to clinch the game 30-28 and the match 3-0.

Corb posted a match-high 23 kills for Loyola while Greenup chipped in with 16 on a .414 hitting percentage. Krystal Biegaj tallied a match-high 51 assists as Jamie Arndt ran down a match-high 24 digs. Senior Meghan McCarney posted one kill on a 1.000 hitting percentage and seven digs as classmate Crystal Sullivan ran down 11 digs.

Loyola's record improves to 9-17 overall and 2-5 in the MAAC while Canisius sees its record drop to 10-15 overall and 3-5 in the MAAC.
