Final Stats

NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. - The Greyhounds opened their final road stretch of the season with a 3-0 (12-25, 15-25, 19-25) loss to Niagara Saturday, in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Action. It was a rough day for Loyola, as the Purple Eagles held the Greyhounds to season-low hitting and blocking marks, and allowed only eight kills from top outside hitter Nina Camaioni, ending her double-digit kills streak at 10 games.

Karlee Woodward and Taylor Koncelik each added four kills. Brittany Born tallied 11 digs, while Camaioni added seven.

Loyola (11-17 overall, 6-7 MAAC) was within reach of the Eagles (18-7 overall, 11-3 MAAC) in the third set, and kept the set close throughout. Christina Dollings gave the Greyhounds a lead after two straight service aces. But Niagara pulled away late in the set with a 5-0 run.

Loyola continues MAAC play on the road Sunday when the Greyhounds visit Canisius for a 3 p.m. contest.
