Colgate (15-9, 6-6 Patriot League) was led offensively by Alli Lowe with 18 kills. Lauren Sanderson added 31 assists for the Raiders. Bridget Kolsky had 20 digs in addition to Katie Stansbury’s 18.
After Colgate scored the first two points of the match, Loyola took eight of the next 10 to pull into an 8-4 lead, forcing a Raiders timeout. The Raiders took the early advantage in the second set, 5-0, but a kill by Puddy put Loyola on the board. A Colgate point interrupted a four point Greyhounds run, decreasing the deficit to 10-6. Three-straight by Loyola got the hosts within seven, 19-12, leading to a Colgate timeout. The Raiders took the first two scores out of the break but another Puddy kill put Loyola on a run to earn six of the next eight, 24-18. The Greyhounds scored two last points, but Colgate won, 25-20.
Loyola fell behind early in the third set, when Colgate took 12 of the first 15 points to gain the advantage, 12-3.
