LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Taylor Akana had 22 kills for host Siena College, and Lesli Akeo registered 26 digs for the Saints, as they defeated Loyola University Maryland, 25-21, 25-22, 22-25, 25-17, in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action on Saturday.

Four Loyola players - Faye Lukas (14), Mindy Maloney (11), Jac Bullock (11) and Tina Catanach (10) - had 10 or more kills, as the Greyhounds hit .272, but Siena was better offensively, hitting .429, the best a team has swung against Loyola this season.

Maloney continued her solid hitting of late, registering her fourth double-digit kills effort in Loyola's last seven games. Prior to those seven games, Maloney's career-high was nine. She needed just 16 swings and only had one error, for her 11 kills on Saturday, hitting at a team-best .556.

Lauren Andersen distributed 43 assists, and Maloney led the team with four total blocks.

The Greyhounds continue their three-match weekend road trip with a 2 o'clock match in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., against Marist College on Sunday.
