Cichosz Posts 16 Kills, But Bucknell Tops Volleyball

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Molly Cichosz had 16 kills for Loyola University Maryland on Friday night, but host Bucknell University defeated the Greyhounds, 25-15, 25-14, 25-21, in Patriot League action.

Cichosz delivered her 16 kills, two off her season-high, in just 33 attempts, hitting .273 in the process. The Greyhounds (6-14 overall, 1-4 Patriot League), however, hit just .104 to Bucknell’s .354.

Karen Campbell led Bucknell (9-7, 3-3) with 10 errorless kills in 15 swings, while Blake Buchholz and Hailey Stout tallied nine and eight kills, respectively. Stout and Campbell each were in on five blocks.

The Bison scored 37 of its 75 points off attack, service and receiving errors by the Greyhounds.

Stacey Kazalas posted 11 kills for Loyola, and Haley Puddy finished with seven. Alisah Cash led the Greyhounds with four blocks, and Corri Waters had three.

Loyola is back in action Saturday afternoon in Hamilton, New York, where it will face Colgate University at 4 o’clock.
