Ernst Posts 17 Kills, But Charlotte Tops Volleyball
FAIRFAX, Va. - Ann Ernst had more than half of Loyola University Maryland's 33 kills, but UNC-Charlotte defeated the Greyhounds in three, 25-16, 25-20, 25-15, Saturday afternoon in the George Mason Classic.
Ernst had a match-best 17 kills, but no other Loyola player had more than six in the match. Sydney Rowan and Janell Sparks each had 15 for Conference USA's 49ers (12-3).
Loyola will be back in action at 7 p.m. to close the tournament against the host Patriots.
