BALTIMORE - The University of Delaware hit .359 and swept Loyola University Maryland in three, 25-14, 25-14, 25-21, on Saturday afternoon to claim the Radisson Cross Keys Greyhound Challenge title.

The Blue Hens (3-3 overall) finished the tournament undefeated, also defeating UMBC and La Salle University. UMBC took second place after rallying to beat Loyola (2-5), 22-25, 25-10, 18-25, 25-14, 15-12, earlier in the day. The Greyhounds were third and La Salle fourth in the event.

Loyola jumped out to an early three-point lead, 8-5, against Delaware, but the Blue Hens took the serve on a Chandler Bryant kill, and Bryant then had two aces in a 6-0 run that put Delaware up three.

The Greyhounds scored two in a row after that to draw within 11-10, but the Blue Hens scored 14 of the remaining 18 points in the set. Delaware never trailed in the second set before the teams embarked on a back-and-forth third frame.

The teams traded sideouts for the first 15 points of the third set before Loyola was the first to string tow in a row together on a Simone Reidkill and Delaware attack error.

Loyola took a three-point advantage, 12-9, on a Jac Bullockkill, but Delaware scored three more, again on three points by Bryant, a kill and two aces.

The Greyhounds went back up by two after a Bryant service error and a Bullock kill, but four-straight by Delawre gave the Blue Hens the lead for good.

Tournament Most Valuable Player Katie Hillman had 13 kills and hit .357 for Delaware, while Bryant finished with 12 kills, a .667 hitting percentage and four aces. Mackenzie Olsen (37 assists) and Ariel Shonk (eight digs0 joined Hillman on the All-Tournament Team.

Bullock was named to the All-Tournament Team for Loyola after recording 37 kills and a .355 hitting percentage.

Both Bullock and Faye Lukas had 14 kills in the match against UMBC, and Lukas led the team with eight versus Delawrae. Jane Lukas posted 14 total kills, eight versus UMBC, in Saturday's matches.
