Mike Williams brings strong ties to club volleyball programs in the area and three years of collegiate head coaching experience to the Loyola College bench this season.

Williams served as head coach at College of Notre Dame of Maryland from 2004-2006 after spending the two previous seasons as an assistant coach at the College.

Under his tutelage, the Gators won two Atlantic Women's Colleges Conference (AWCC) title and amassed a 59-49 record over three seasons.

Notre Dame advanced to the NCAA Division III Championships in 2005, after winning the AWCC Tournament with the second seed, for the first time in school history.

A season later, the Gators put together the best season in the history of the conference, winning all 12 games against AWCC foes and compiling a 28-12 record, the most wins for a Notre Dame team.

At least two Notre Dame players earned All-AWCC First Team honors each season, while one of his players was a two-time conference player of the year.

Williams is also the founder and president of Wild Blue Volleyball Club and has coached for several years at the Junior Olympic level.

Williams and his wife, Diane, have three children and reside in Towson, Md.
