After concluding her career as a standout setter a nearby College of Notre Dame of Maryland, Emily Williams has moved into the coaching ranks and will assist Loyola Head Coach Scott Pennewill and the Greyhounds.

Williams was a three-year starter and letterwinner at Notre Dame where she helped the Gators win two Atlantic Women's Colleges Conference (AWCC) titles and advance to the first two NCAA Division III Championships in school history.

She finished her tenure at Notre Dame with the school career and single-season records in set assists and led the AWCC in assists all three years of her career. Williams earned All-AWCC honors as a junior and was an honorable mention member of the team as a sophomore.

In 2005, as a freshman, Williams helped the Gators win the AWCC Tournament as the No. 2 seed and advance to the NCAA Championships for the first time.

The following season, she led Notre Dame to a school-record 28 victories and undefeated run through conference play. The Gators then earned a No. 4 seed in the NCAA Championships.

Williams graduated in May with a degree in communications with an emphasis in advertising and public relations.
