2012 (Junior): Played in six matches during the season... Earned MAAC All-Academic honors for the second year in a row.
2011 (Sophomore):Played in eight matches and 12 sets during the season for Loyola... Had six digs... Career-high four digs against Saint Peter's in November.
2010 (Freshman): Saw action in five matches during her first season at Loyola... Had six kills and three aces... Made her collegiate debut against Morgan State (9/3)... Had three kills and an ace at Marist (10/23)... Had three kills, two aces and three digs at Fairfield (11/7).
High School: Was a three-sport athlete at Chantilly (Va.) High School... Won a total of five varsity letters: four in volleyball, one in swimming and also played basketball... Played volleyball for head coach Charles Ezigbo... Helped lead the Chargers to back-to-back Concorde District Championships (2008-2009) and a regional championship in 2008... Also helped team reach the 2008 Virginia State Quarterfinals... Garnered first-team all-Concorde District, second-team all-region accolades and was named to the Concorde District All-Tournament Team as a senior in 2009... As a junior in 2008, earned first-team all-state, Washington Post all-Metro, all-Beltway, all-Region, all-Concorde District honors and was named team MVP and to the Concorde District and UKROPS all-tournament teams... Earned the school's Sportsmanship Awards in swimming (2008) and basketball (2006)... Played club for the Northern Virginia Volleyball Association 18 Selects team under coach John Teifer... Standout student-athlete during her prep career, as a member of the National Honor Society, the Science Honor Society and serving as class president in junior and senior years...
Personal: Samantha Ann Reeves... Born in Virginia Beach, Va... Daughter of Bennie and Ammie Reeves... Has three younger sisters, Shannon, Jessica and Hannah... Was heavily involved in community service projects and the organization and planning of school events through high school's leadership program.
