Sidoti Named To Academic All-Patriot League Team For Women's Track & Field

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Loyola University Maryland sophomore Christa Sidoti was named to the Academic All-Patriot League Team, honoring her achievements on the track and in the classroom, the conference announced Tuesday.
Sidoti ran the opening leg on Loyola's school-record setting 4x400-meter relay team at the Patriot League Championships, helping the Greyhounds cross the line in 3:52.69, a mark that was since eclipsed at the ECAC Championships.
She carries a 3.955 grade-point average as a psychology major at Loyola and is a three-time Dean's List honoree while also earning Patriot League Academic Honor Roll recognition in 2016.
During the regular-season, Sidoti ran personal-best performances in both outdoor hurdles events, clocking a time of 66.03 in the 400 hurdles and 16.69 in the 100 version.
Sidoti is the second Loyola women's outdoor track and field student-athlete to earn Academic All-Patriot League honors since the Greyhounds joined the conference in 2013-2014. Marissa Buccellato earned the honor in 2014.
