BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lisa Potter set a school record in the 500m dash, as the Loyola University Maryland women's track team split the weekend at the Lehigh University Covert Classic and Armory Collegiate Invitational.
Potter crossed the finish line at 1:21.54, an improvement of .3 seconds off the previous 1:21.84 record set in 2007 by Caroline Scott. The new record was good enough for a third place finish in the event.
Kellyanne Bondulich was the top individual finisher of the weekend, taking first in the 1,000m run at Lehigh. The sophomore finished with a time of 3:10.95.
The top relay team of the weekend went to the 4x400 runners of Jacqueline Porter, Marissa Buccellato, Brianna Nelson, and Megan Trainer. The quad finished in first with a finishing time of 4:11.90. Fellow teammates Rebekah Rogerson, Margaret Larkin, Lauren Puleo, and Bondulich, took sixth in the same event.
Out of the lanes, Uchechukwu Emili recorded a new school record in the weight throw, 11.27m/36-11.75. The rookie broke her previous program record of 10.05 at the Lehigh Invitational back in November.
Anna Bosse was the top Greyhound finisher at the Armory, placing 24th in the 3,000m with a time of 10:33.58. Teammate Erica Canas also competed in the same event, crossing the finish line at 11:00.27.
