Harrison Finishes Strong At Penn State Nationals
Jan. 31, 2014
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Loyola University Maryland track and field senior Kiera Harrison had a big night at the Penn State National Invitational, finishing just outside the top-five in the 5,000m invite run.
Harrison crossed the finish line in 17:25.99, finishing ahead of participants from Syracuse, Mount St. Mary’s, Pittsburgh, La Salle, Indiana (Pa.) and Penn State.
“Finishing that high in the invitational section is great for Kiera and our program,” said Head Coach Amy Horst. “She chased down the entire pack and I’m proud of her performance, despite the tough weather and training conditions we have faced lately.”
The Greyhounds are back at it tomorrow, Saturday, Feb. 1, competing at the Patriot Games hosted by George Mason University.
