Women's Track In Third Place After Day One At MAAC's

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ - Loyola's women's track team used some solid performances to place itself in third out of seven teams with 34 points after Day One of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Track and Field Championships held at Rider University.
Three Greyhounds recorded second-place finishes including Jackie Truncellito's (40:17.64) silver-medal jaunt in the 10,000-meter run, Andrea Rovegno's (18:09.31) silver medal performance in the 5,000-meter run, and Carolyn Kennington's (117'07") silver medal winning javelin throw.
Other point scorers for Loyola were Caitlin Dunne (18:29.66), who finished fourth in the 5K, Tricia Yudd (44:06.78), who finished fifth in the 10K, and Angela Penrice (46:06.62), who finished eighth in the 10K.
Rider is currently in first place with 60 points while Manhattan is in second place with 59 points.
The Greyhounds return to the track tomorrow for final round action at the conference championships.
