Track & Field Concludes Competition At Colonial Relays

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Loyola University Maryland women's track & field team concluded action at the Colonial Relays in Williamsburg, Va., on Saturday, with strong performances from both the relay teams and individuals.
With only a handful of individual events on Saturday, the Greyhounds had athletes competing in both the high jump and the 3,000-meter run.
On the track, Gabrielle Cocco followed her big day on Friday with another outstanding performance on Saturday. Cocco took home the highest finish for the Greyhounds in any event, placing third in the 3,000 with a time of 10:07.19 in her first time competing in the event.
Stephanie Gibney and Anna Bosse also took part in the 3,000, with Gibney taking 11th in 10:30.63 and Bosse placing 17th in 10:47.38.
Loyola rounded out the meet by competing in the sprint medley relay for the first time in school history. The group of Willeford, Nicole Lopez, Krupa and Jackie D'Antonio, notched sixth with a time of 4:12.91.
Loyola next co-hosts the Loyola-Johns Hopkins on Saturday, April 14.
