ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Cordelia McGinn, Kathleen Shepherd and Molly Smith all won events for the Loyola University Maryland women's track and field team, and the Greyhounds set a pair of school records, Wednesday night in the team's final meet before next weekend's Patriot League Championships.

McGinn set a school record and won the 1,000 meters, Shepherd took top honors in the triple jump, and Smith claimed first in the 400 meters at the U.S. Naval Academy's Sweetheart Multi-Mix.

The Greyhounds will compete at the 2018 Patriot League Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday and Sunday, February 17-18, at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.

McGinn set her third school record of the 2018 indoor season, following her 800-meter and mile standards with a new best in the 1,000 meters. She ran 2:51.73 in the race, edging the University of Delaware's Elizabeth McGroarty (2:52.49), while improving her ECAC Championships Qualifying Time. McGinn's performance bested the previous school record of 2:52.17, set on March 1, 2013, by Jackie D'Antonio.

The 4x200-meter relay team of Ariana Santo Pietro, Danielle Spano, Rhoda Miller and Katherine Schramm also set a school record, covering the 800 meters in 1:47.34 to knock more than 2.5 seconds off the previous standard of 1:49.89 run in December 2009.

Shepherd turned in a winning leap in the triple jump, hitting the sand in 35'1.75" (10.71m), a mark tied for sixth-best in school history. The freshman also took fifth in the 60-meter hurdles, running the third-best time in Loyola history, 9.19.

Smith scored a win in the 400 meters as Loyola took the top two spots in the event. She finished in 57.75, the second-fastest indoor time in school history, just behind her school record of 57.34. Courtney Kenny took second in the event for the Greyhounds, running 58.31, the No. 3 performance all-time at Loyola.

Smith and Kenny later ran the first two legs of the 4x400-meter relay, pairing with Rachel Koller and Heather Merrifield for the third-best time in school history, 3:53.75, and a second-place finish.

Tara Ryan and Madeline Ocamb finished sixth and eighth, respectively, in the mile run, clocking times of 5:14.56 and 5:18.41. Courtney Wallace ran 10:49.80 to place 11th in the 3,000 meters.

MaryEllen Woods ran a personal-best time of 2:16.24 in the 800 meters, taking sixth in the race with the fifth-best indoor time in school history. Audrey O'Neill and Gabrielle Silvestri were 10th and 11th in 2:20.50 and 2:20.54, respectively.

Miller led four Greyhounds who finised in the top-13 of the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.14. Santo Pietro was 11th (8.18), Molly Johnson, 12th (8.21) and Koller, 13th (8.26). Bre Mucius also had a top-10 finish for the Greyhounds in the 60-meter hurdles, running 9.54 for 10th-place.
