Fairfax, Va. - Running in just its second meet in program history, Loyola's women's indoor track team managed to produce two first-places, four seconds, and a third at the Patriot Games hosted by George Mason University on Saturday afternoon.

Jackie Truncellito took the gold medal in the 3000-meter run with a time of 11:07.44 while Lauren Anderson earned the Greyhounds' other win with a long jump of 4.23 meters.

Sarah Spencer finished in second behind Truncellito in the 3K with a time of 11:19.96 and Bridget Scanlan followed Anderson in the long jump with a silver medal leap of 4.13 meters.

Andrea Rovegno also grabbed a second-place finish with her 1600-meter time of 5:12.28 as Natasha Epps notched a silver in the shot put with a throw of 9.44 meters. Suzanne Mufareh took third place in the shot with a 9.37 meter toss.

"The girls have been practicing hard and their efforts are translating in competition," said Head Coach Julie Culley. "We had some excellent performances in the shot put, long jump and distances in particular. Most of the girls improved greatly from the Navy meet as we have been training through the first couple of meets and look to better our times and marks week to week."
