ANNAPOLIS, Md. - For the second weekend in a row, the Loyola University Maryland women's track and field team left a meet after setting three school records. On Saturday, Courtney Kenny, Cordelia McGinn and Senna Ohlsson recorded new standards as the Greyhounds competed at the U.S. Naval Academy's Wes Brown Invitational.

McGinn shaved nearly three seconds off an 11-year old school record, winning Saturday's event with a time of 4:54.98, running most of the race by herself as her closest peer, the University of Maryland's Brittany Lang, finished in 5:01.61.

McGinn's time bettered that of Andrea Rovegno's 4:57.98 run on February 18, 2006. It also qualified her for the ECAC Championships in her third event; earlier this year, she reached the meet standards in the 800- and 1,000-meter races.

Kenny posted a new school record in the 200 meters, finishing seventh on Saturday in 25.69 seconds. She clipped Jeanine Gill's standard of 25.80 run on February 21, 2014. Kenny also ran the third-best 400-meter time in school history on Saturday, taking fifth in that event in 58.46.

Senna Ohlsson, a freshman classmate of Kenny, set a school standard in the 500 meters, winning the event in 1:13.82. That time dropped more than three seconds off the 1:17.84 run by Charlotte Criqui on February 20, 2015.

Several other Greyhounds had top-10 all-time performances in Saturday's meet.

Rhoda Miller ran 8.11 in the 60 meters, the 10th-best time in school history, and Rachel Koller was not far behind Kenny in the quarter-mile, clocking a time of 59.79 for the ninth-best performance.

MaryEllen Woods ran 2:17.10 in the 800 meters to finish fourth overall with the No. 6 time in school history. Kayleigh Caggiano took seventh in the event in 2:20.24, and Audrey O'Neill was eighth in 2:21.29.

Tara Ryan clocked a time of 3:03.41 in the 1,000 meters, the No. 7 time in school history, and Christina Daniels took fourth in the 3,000 meters in 10:28.58, No. 8 at Loyola.

Kathleen Shepherd ran 9.31 in the 60-meter hurdles, a performance tied for sixth all-time, and her long jump mark of 17'6.75" (5.35m) is third. Shepherd also leaped 35'7.25" (10.85) in the triple jump to take the No. 4 spot. Bre Mucius finished ninth in Saturday's hurdles race, two spots behind Shepherd with a time of 9.31.

The Greyhounds return to Navy for their next competition when they race in their final pre-Patriot League Championships tune-up on Thursday, February 8, at the Sweetheart Multi-Mix.
