Loyola Men's Soccer - Last Time Out
• The Greyhounds had multiple scoring opportunities against the Red Flash, but were unable to convert any of them into goals, as Saint Francis' goalkeeper came up with five saves.
• In addition, junior Diego McQuestion drew a foul just outside of the box in the final minutes of overtime, but sophomore Connor Thompson's free kick bounced off the cross bar and the Red Flash cleared the ball to preserve the scoreless draw. 

MAAC Defensive Player Of The Week
• Junior goalkeeper Thurman Van Riper was named the MAAC Defensive Player of the Week.
• Van Riper recorded three saves to pick up his first collegiate shutout in Loyola's season opening double-overtime scoreless draw at Saint Francis (Pa.) on Saturday.

La Salle Men's Soccer
• Joe Farrell was tabbed the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week after netting the game-winning goal just 45 seconds into overtime in La Salle's come-from-behind 3-2 victory over Drexel.
• Farrell was also credited with the assist on the game-tying goal with just 36 seconds remaining in regulation.
• Farrell and Jason Plumhoff each have three points this season, while Mike Stanton has the Explorer's third score this season.
• In goal, John McCarthy has played all 91 mins, making six saves and allowing two goals. 

Series vs. The Explorers
• The Greyhounds are 7-0-0 when facing La Salle, however the two programs have not met in men's soccer since 1991 - when the Explorers competed in the MAAC.
• In the first meeting in 1982, Loyola won 5-2. 
• Between then and 1991, the two met five times in the regular season and twice in the championship game of the MAAC Tournament (1989 and 1990).

Quick Kicks With Loyola Women's Soccer
• The Loyola University Maryland women's soccer team is off to a 1-1-1 start to the 2012 season, after playing three games in five days last week.
• The Greyhounds return nine starters from last year's squad, including 2011 MAAC Offensive Player of the Year, Nichole Schiro

Towson Women's Soccer
• The Tigers have lost their first three games of the season, dropping matches on the road to DePaul, Valparaiso and Mount St. Mary's.
• Towson does not play a single non-conference home game this year, starting the season with 10-straight on the road. The Tigers' first home match is Sept. 28.
• Cheyenne Skidmore and Hollie Garber have each scored goals for Towson this year. Skidmore led the Tigers with eight goals and 25 points last year.
• Emily Banes also returned for Towson after scoring eight goals and totaling 21 points in 2011.
• Erin Quinn has played all 270 minutes in goal this season. She started two games last year for the Tigers.

Series With Towson
• This is the 13th meeting all-time between the Greyhounds and the Tigers, with Loyola holding a 10-1-1 advantage in thes series.
• This is the third-straight year the two teams will meet.
• Towson earned its first victory in the series last year, beating Loyola, 2-0.

• Loyola men's soccer will close out its three-game homestand on Saturday, Sept. 8 when Quinnipiac visits Ridley Athletic Complex. Game time is 7 p.m.
• The Greyhounds' women's squad will have a week off before taking on Delaware on Friday, Sept. 7, at 7 p.m. atthe  Ridley Athletic Complex.
