JERSEY CITY - Senior Brittany Yancey scored her first collegiate goal in the first half, and she added a second after halftime, as Loyola University Maryland defeated host Saint Peter's University, 6-0, on Friday afternoon in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference women's soccer action.

Katelyn McFadden scored a 20-yard shot off a Nichole Schiro pass at 8:33 to post a 1-0 lead for the Greyhounds (6-4-3 overall, 2-1 MAAC), and Yancey scored on the rebound of a Kelsey Donohue shot at 14:46 to make it 2-0.

Just over 15 minutes later, Kelly Santangelo tallied her first career goal at 30:11, putting in a corner kick off assists by Tessa McClenahan and Lauren Norcia.

The Greyhounds doubled their 3-0 halftime lead with three more in the first 18 minutes of the second half.

Schiro, who with her assist on McFadden's goal became the first player in Loyola history to score 100 career points, headed in a McFadden cross at 55:14, and Yancey added her second of the game on an 18-yard rip off a Rosy Hayes pass at 58:34.

After Yancey's goal made it 5-0, Schiro added a score off a Santangelo assist, flicking in a shot from 14-yards out to provide the final difference.

Didi Haracic and Danielle Ippolito split the game in goal for the Greyhounds, stopping all six Saint Peter's (1-11, 0-2) shots on goal. Each finished with three saves.

Loyola outshot the Peacocks, 28-7, and Caitlin Hoffer made 13 saves for Saint Peter's.

The Greyhounds continue their MAAC road trip with a Sunday morning match against Manhattan College. Kickoff is slated for 10 a.m.
