Now in her fourth season as an assistant coach at Loyola, Erin Konheim brings a wealth of experience as a former NCAA Division I student-athlete and assistant coach to the Greyhounds women's soccer staff.

Since joining head coach Katherine Vettori's staff in 2008, Konheim has helped Loyola achieve a record of 34-20-7 including a 9-9-2 mark in 2010.

Konheim helped the Greyhounds reach the NCAA College Cup in her second season with the program, 2009. Loyola completed a perfect 9-0-0 record in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action, won the MAAC Championship title and finished the year with a 15-5-3 mark.

In 2008, Konheim helped first-year Head Coach Katherine Vettori lead the Green and Grey to a MAAC regular season title with an undefeated conference record (7-0-2).

Konheim joined Katherine Vettori's staff in May 2008 after serving as an assistant coach at nearby Towson University in 2007.

"I am thrilled with the addition of Erin to our staff," Vettori said when Konheim was hired. "She is an excellent recruiter, and with her playing background in the Big Ten and the W-League, she adds experience and regional connections that will be a great asset to the program."

A graduate of, and standout player at, Michigan State University, Konheim brings both the familiarity of the Mid-Atlantic region and the experience of playing at a high level of collegiate soccer to the Evergreen campus.

In 2007, Konheim helped first-year Towson Head Coach Greg Paynter lead the Tigers to their first winning record (9-8-1) since the 2000 season.

She was responsible for organizing, developing and implementing technical training aspects of each practice. Konheim also contributed to all aspects of the program, including game planning, recruiting, scheduling, travel and fundraising.

In addition to working the Towson Women's Soccer Summer Camp, Konheim was a technical trainer for youth teams in the Soccer Association of Columbia. Prior to joining the Tigers' staff, she worked as a Coach-In-Training with the '92 Girls team of the Michigan Olympic Development Program.

Konheim was a top player as a student-athlete at Michigan State, helping the Spartans compile a 48-28-7 record and garner two NCAA Women's Soccer College Cup appearances during her four seasons in East Lansing.

A captain during her senior season in 2005, Konheim led Michigan State to a 12-6-5 record and the first NCAA Tournament win in program history. She concluded her Spartans' playing career as the school's career assists leader (23), and she finished seventh on the program's all-time points list (53).

After completing her collegiate eligibility, Konheim competed for the Michigan Hawks of the United States Soccer W-League. She served as a team captain and helped the Hawks to a 10-2-2 record and the Midwest Division title.

Konheim also worked as an Undergraduate Assistant Coach for Michigan State after her playing career concluded.

As a prep player, Konheim earned All-State, All-District and All-League honors at West Bloomfield (Mich.) High School. She scored 90 goals and had 22 assists in four years for the Lakers and was a four-year member of the Michigan ODP State and Regional teams.

A three-year Academic All-Big Ten honoree (2003-2005), Konheim graduated from Michigan State with a bachelor of arts degree in elementary education in May 2006.
