Delaware will be Loyola’s first opponent, as the Blue Hens head to Baltimore on Saturday, Sept. 29, for a 4:30 p.m., contest. The Greyhounds will also scrimmage 2012 NCAA Champion Northwestern on Saturday, Oct. 6 at 2:30 p.m., in addition to 2012 NCAA quarterfinalist North Carolina on Sunday, Oct. 14 at 9:30 a.m. All three contests will be played at Ridley Athletic Complex.
Loyola will close out its fall ball schedule with a play day at Maryland against a pair of NCAA Tournament participants on Sunday, Oct. 21. The Greyhounds will scrimmage the Terrapins, the 2012 ACC Champions and NCAA semifinalists, at 1 p.m., before taking on local-rival Towson at 2:15 p.m.
The Greyhounds are coming off a season in which they won their second-straight BIG EAST title and made a second-consecutive appearance in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament.
