Women's Lacrosse Closes the Season By Hosting Cornell Saturday

Baltimore, Md. - The Loyola College women's lacrosse team plays its final game of the 2007 season as the Greyhounds host Cornell on Saturday. It will be the final game for seniors Colleen Brown, Kate McHarg, Liz Peregoy and Rachael Pickin who will be honored prior to the game.
ABOUT THE `HOUNDS
Junior Kristen Stone leads Loyola in both groundballs (36) and caused turnovers (24) while Gibson leads on the draw with 26.
Freshman Karen Nicolaus is the team's starting keeper, posting a 14.34 goals against average and stopping 39.4% of the shots she has faced.
SCOUTING THE BIG RED
The Big Red's scoring leader is Courtney Farrell with 29 goals and 33 assists. She's followed in points by Noelle Dowd with 26 goals and eight assists while Katherine Simmons comes in third with 29 goals and three assists. Six other Cornell players have double-digits in points.
Simmons leads the team in both groundballs (33) and caused turnovers (16) while Charlotte Schmidlapp leads on the draw with 30.
Goalkeepers Mary Montague and Renee Hughes have each played a considerable amount of time in goal for the Big Red. Montague posts a 12.45 goals-against average and .382 saves percentage while Hughes has a 13.46 goals-against average and a .376 saves percentage.
