CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Loyola University Maryland junior Annie Thomas has been named the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week for a second time this season, as announced by the league office Monday.  Thomas also earned the honor on February 25, while junior Taryn VanThof was included on this week's honorable mention performances.

In a 16-5 win at Bucknell on Wednesday, Thomas scored a career-high five goals and added three assists for a personal-best eight points. She followed that up by tallying two goals and an assist in a 12-4 win over Lehigh on Saturday.

For the week, Thomas recorded a team-high 11 points on seven goals and four assists.

So far this season, Thomas is second on the team with 20 goals, 13 assists and 33 points. In Patriot League only games, she ranks second in the league, to teammate Marlee Paton, in goals (10) and points (14).

VanThof was included on the honorable mentions list after contributing four goals, one assist, five points, four ground balls, 12 draw controls and three caused turnovers. For the season, VanThof leads the team with 54 draw controls, ranking her sixth on Loyola's single-season records for draw controls.

Thomas becomes the first Greyhound to earn two offensive player of the week honors this season, while Paton and junior Hannah Schmitt have also garnered the accolade. Thomas is also the third Greyhound with multiple weekly honors, as VanThof was twice named the midfielder of the week and sophomore goalkeeper Molly Wolf has earned defensive honors twice this year.

Loyola will step out of conference play on Tuesday when it heads to No. 14 Georgetown. The former BIG EAST foes will take the field at 7 p.m.
