Rosenzweig Named Women's Lacrosse Patriot League Rookie Of The Week
CENTER VALLEY, Pa. -
Loyola University Maryland freshman Livy Rosenzweig has been named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week, as announced by the League office Monday.
Rosenzweig had a big debut week for the Greyhounds, finishing the two games with three goals, four assists, seven points, three ground balls and 11 draw controls.
The freshman from Katonah, New York recorded her first collegiate point just over 22 minutes into her career, assisting classmate Sam Fiedler's first-half goal at No. 22 Johns Hopkins Wednesday afternoon. Rosenzweig then gave up her free-position attempt to assist senior Frankie Kamely as time expired in the half and netted her first collegiate goal with 2:48 left in the contest.
At No. 3 Florida, Rosenzweig finished with two goals, two assists and a game-high 10 draw controls.
For the season, Rosenzweig leads the team in draw controls, with 11, and is second on the team in points (7) and assists (4).
Loyola will return to action on Saturday as it travels to No. 13 Penn State for a 1 p.m. draw.
