Women's Lacrosse Ranked No. 10 In Brine Preseason Media Poll

BALTIMORE - The Loyola University Maryland women’s lacrosse team has earned its second top-10 preseason ranking, as the Greyhounds checked in at No. 10 in the Brine Media Poll. The media poll, compiled by IL Women and voted on by members of the lacrosse media, will be released Mondays throughout the season.
Loyola will face eight teams ranked in the top 20 of the media poll, including five of the poll’s top-10 ranked teams. The Greyhounds will host No. 4 Florida, No. 12 Navy, No. 15 Princeton and No. 19 Towson, while they will travel to No. 3 Syracuse, No. 7 Penn State, No. 8 Virginia and No. 9 Georgetown. Loyola will also head to Johns Hopkins, one of the squads receiving votes in the media poll, for one of two nationally televised women’s lacrosse games on ESPNU.
The Greyhounds were also recently ranked 10th in Lacrosse Magazine’s NCAA Division I preseason rankings, which was compiled by Lacrosse Magazine staff after consultation with college coaches. To view the Lacrosse Magazine rankings, click here.
Loyola will open its season at No. 8 Virginia on Saturday, Feb. 15.
