BALTIMORE - The No. 15 Loyola University Maryland women's lacrosse team used a full team effort to earn its sixth-straight win this season; a 19-5 victory over Holy Cross Saturday afternoon at Ridley Athletic Complex.
With the win, the Greyhounds improve to 8-4 this season and 4-0 in the Patriot League, while Holy Cross falls to 5-7 overall and to 3-2 in the league.
Junior Molly Hulseman contributed a career-high four goals and added two assists for a personal-best six points, to share game-high honors with senior Marlee Paton (4g, 2a). Sophomore Maddy Lesher anchored the defense with three ground balls and two turnovers, while holding Holy Cross' top-point scorer, Laura Ryan, without a point.

Annie Thomas got the Greyhounds out to a 3-0 start, assisting back-to-back goals to Paton before setting up Burke at the 27:27 mark. Holy Cross halted the streak at 24:55, before Hulseman and Habicht notched goals to push Loyola ahead, 5-1, at 19:16.
Martino scored her second for the Crusaders at 16:54 and her third at 11:54, following scores from Burke and Hulseman, moving the score to 7-3.
Annie Thomas assisted Burke again at 8:56 and then finished a pass from Paton at 7:19 to give the Greyhounds a 9-3 advantage. A free-position goal from Holy Cross at 5:11 was the final first-half goal for the visitors, while Loyola used back-to-back goals from Paton to close the half with an 11-4 lead.
Hulseman notched two-consecutive scores to open the second half before an unassisted score from Sydney Thomas capped off Loyola's five-goal run, putting the Greyhounds ahead, 14-4, with 23:32 to play.
Concilio scored the lone second-half goal for the Crusaders at 20:55, while Blakeman scattered three goals throughout a five-goal run from the Greyhounds to close out the game. Sydney Thomas and VanThof also had goals in the streak, bringing the final score to 19-5.
VanThof finished the game with 11 draw controls to pull within nine of Michelle Meyer's school record of 180 from 1993-97. VanThof leads the Patriot League with 66 draw controls this year and has won 171 throughout her career at Loyola.
