Before Loyola • Named US Lacrosse All-American following senior season • Had a decorated career at Archbishop John Carroll High School in Radnor Township, Pa. • Helped Patriots to their 11th-straight Philadelphia Catholic League title and advanced to the state quarterfinals in 2011 • Schmitt earned All-Catholic League, All-Delco and All-Main Line First Team honors in 2009, 2010 and 2011 • Was the Most Valuable Player of the Philadelphia Catholic League as both a sophomore and senior • Earned US Lacrosse All-America honorable mention honors in 2009 • Had six total varsity letters - two in field hockey and four in lacrosse • Was an ambassador at the school
