2012-2013 Loyola Women's Basketball Schedule

BALTIMORE - Loyola University Maryland men's and women's basketball season tickets are on sale and available to the general public starting immediately. Tickets to the defending MAAC-champion Loyola men's basketball team's home slate of 15 games, as well as to any or all of the women's team's 13 home contests, can be purchased at or by calling 410-617-1420.

Men's season tickets start as low as $100 for adults and $50 for students (youth), while women's season tickets start at $30. This year there also is a special combined general admission season ticket offer. Adults can purchase general admission season tickets for both the men's and women's teams for just $110, while a student (youth) combined season ticket is only $70.

The Loyola men are coming off of a record-setting 24-victory campaign that saw them capture the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship and advance to the NCAA Tournament. Thanks in part to that success, attendance at Loyola home men's basketball games increased by nearly 40-percent a year ago.

This year's men's home schedule opens on Friday, November 9, with a 7:30 p.m. contest against Binghamton that will feature the unveiling of the banner commemorating last season's NCAA Tournament appearance. The Greyhounds also host local rivals Towson and UMBC over a two-week span in November followed by the MAAC opener against Niagara December 5 and a traditional local-rivalry game against Mt. St. Mary's December 15. Marquee MAAC matchups against 2012 NCAA-qualifier Iona (January 27) and Manhattan (March 3) highlight the second half of the home slate.

Several promotions are planned throughout the Hounds' home men's schedule, including youth days in which kids wearing their team jerseys or gear receive free admission if accompanied by a paying adult (Nov. 14 vs. UMBC, Nov. 26 vs. Towson, January 27 vs. Iona and March 3 vs. Manhattan) and a Valentine's Day special for which couples can purchase buy-one-get-one-free tickets. There also is a holiday buy-one-get-one free special for all men's and women's home games between December 20 and January 14.

The Greyhound women begin their home campaign Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. against local-rival and 10th-ranked Maryland. In addition the Hounds host York Road-rival Towson Nov. 15 and future Patriot League-foes American (December 1) and Lehigh (December 3). MAAC play begins for the women January 6 vs. St. Peter's, and perennial NCAA-qualifier Marist comes to Reitz Arena February 15. Youth days (same pricing as men's youth days) are slated for Nov. 25 (Towson), December 1 (American), December 3 (Lehigh), January 27 (Iona) and March 1 (Fairfield).

Loyola will hold its annual field trip day at 11 a.m. January 24 against Canisius, with local schools invited to attend free of charge, and the Play4Kay Pink Zone breast cancer awareness game is set for February 15 vs. Manhattan. The February 24 contest against Marist will be Women in Sports Day, a popular annual event in which girls between kindergarten and 8th grade are invited to attend the game and participate in activities with all of Loyola's female student athletes at no charge.

Men's single-game tickets are priced at $17 for adult reserved chairback seats, $12 for student/youth reserved chairback seats, $10 for adult general admission and $5 for student/youth general admission. Women's tickets are $15 for courtside seats ($25 for the Maryland game), $7 for adult general admission and $5 for student/youth general admission. Groups of 20 or more can attend either men's or women's games for $3 per ticket (payment in advance required).
