DiClemente, Farrell Named To Basketball Operations Positions
Former Greyhound standout Erica DiClemente will return to the Evergreen Campus to work with the women's team, and Kevin Farrell, a four-year men's basketball manager, will be a member of the men's staff.
DiClemente played five years for Loyola, from 2006-2011, and ranks 10th all-time in Greyhound history with 1,123 career points. She also ranks seventh all-time in 3-point field goals made (87), fourth all-time in free-throw percentage (.787) and first in games played with 130.
The Blue Bell, Pa., native was captain of one of the most successful teams in Loyola women's basketball program history, leading the Greyhounds to a 21-13 overall record including going 15-3 in the MAAC. Loyola won its first-ever postseason game, defeating Old Dominion in the first round of the Women's National Invitation Tournament. The 21 wins tied for the most in program history while the 15 conference victories stands as the most ever by a Greyhound team.
She also is one of five Greyhounds who played under Logan to sign a contract overseas, spending time in the Czech Republic last season.
Farrell was a valuable member of the Greyhound staff for the last four years as an undergraduate student at Loyola.
He was the Greyhounds' video coordinator during his time as a manger and assisted coaches in the breakdown and scouting of upcoming opponents. Farrell also worked with many administrative areas of the program, assisting with travel and equipment.
Farrell, who also spent time as an assistant baseball coach with the junior varsity program at his high school alma mater, Iona Prep, has been a coach and counselor at several basketball camps during the summers, including the Loyola Basketball Camp and the Shaka Smart Basketball Camp at Virginia Commonwealth.
