Loyola Partners With ANC Sports For Reitz Courtside Signage
Aug 27, 2013
BALTIMORE - Loyola University Maryland has partnered with ANC Sports Enterprises to integrate a state-of-the-art LED Courtside System into all events at Reitz Arena beginning with the 2013-14 school year.
The 10mm LED Courtside Signage System includes a 40' scorer's table on one sideline at center court and an 8' media table on the opposite sideline. Both tables will feature full motion University branding, individual game entertainment and sponsor animations.
"Adding LED courtside signage to Reitz Arena will not only enhance our fans' gameday experience, but will also greatly assist our coaches in their recruiting efforts," said Jim Paquette, Loyola's assistant vice president and director of athletics. "This is step one of a technology upgrade to Reitz made possible by the generosity of Jim (Class of 1980) and Hollis Forbes. We are excited these changes coincide with our entrance to the Patriot League."
The courtside technology is part of several renovations at the 2,100-seat Reitz Arena, home of the Greyhounds' men's and women's basketball and women's volleyball programs, which will take place over the next few years. The Princeton Review ranked Loyola's athletic facilities No. 2 nationally earlier this month. The Greyhounds became an official member of the Patriot League on July 1.
Driven by ANC's VisionSOFTTM operating system, the LED courtside system has the ability to display an unlimited amount of content, enabling each event to feature different game prompts, advertisers and other game information. ANC's creative division, which supplies content to more than 60 venues throughout North America, will create all the graphics to be displayed on the signage for the University and its corporate partners.
"Our technology and creative services will help Loyola create an energetic game day presentation for all sports at Reitz Arena," said Jerry Cifarelli, Jr., Business Development Account Executive, ANC Sports. "We are looking forward to integrating our LED courtside and video systems with NCAA schools similar to Loyola that are interested in enhancing corporate partnerships and the live event experience."
ANC Sports has integrated the most courtside systems in the NBA with 19 team partners, including 17 digital deployments. ANC recently began offering the same professional style courtside signage and service solution to colleges, forming partnerships with Temple University and Penn State University, among others.
