Women's Basketball Alumna Prior '09 Leads Pro Team To Second-Straight Title


April 17, 2017 Loyola University Maryland women's basketball alumna Siobhan Prior '09 led her Nottingham Wildcats to the Women's British Basketball League title on Saturday, helping the side win the crown for the second year in a row.

Prior tallied 13 points and three steals in the game as the Wildcats rallied from 13 down in the first half to top Team Northumbria, 57-52. Nottingham enters the 18th round of the season fixture with a 14-3 record and clinch of the title for the second time in as many years.

This season, Prior has averaged 12 points, 3.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.7 steals in the Wildcats' 17 games. 

Prior graduated from Loyola in 2009 and has played with her hometown team since. She played in 87 games, and started 50, during her four years at Loyola. During her senior season, she averaged a team-best 12.8 points per game and finished with a 7.6 per game average.
