Baltimore, Md. - Kaitlin Grant opened her final game at Reitz Arena by converting a fastbreak layup. The Greyhounds followed Grant's lead, rolling to a regular season-ending 68-50 win over Siena Sunday afternoon.

The `Hounds shot 50 percent from the field in front of a packed, Pink Zone Day crowd, while holding Siena to just a 32.1 percent mark. Grant filled out the stat sheet with 19 points, seven rebounds, three assists and five steals, tying Lorrie Schenning's 21-year-old single-season steals record of 75.

Miriam McKenzie and Erica DiClemente each added 15 points. Senior guard Devon Carey scored nine and pulled down four boards in her final performance at Reitz Arena. Siena's Serena Moore led the game with 23 points and 12 boards. Allie Lindeman, the Saints' (10-17, 8-10 MAAC) leading scorer, was held to just 12 points and no rebounds.

The puts Loyola (14-15, 9-9 MAAC) at the No. 6 seed going into next week's Citizen's Bank MAAC Championships in Albany, N.Y. The Greyhounds will play Fairfield Friday, at 11:30 a.m. at the Albany Times Union Center.

Despite a somewhat slow start, Loyola never trailed. Tough first-half defense forced 11 Siena turnovers. The Greyhounds were able to get several points off fastbreak baskets early on, going into the locker room with a 31-23 halftime lead.

Loyola wasted no time in the second half, extending the lead to 10 points out of the gate. Siena was held to just one field goal through the first seven minutes of the second half. The Greyhounds were up 41-25 when Moore finally netted a layup at 13:42.

However, from there Siena started a rally, coming to within eight points of Loyola in the final 10 minutes.

Moore laid one in from under the basket to make the score 43-34. But Grant took a pass from Sheahin and put in off the glass to put Loyola back up by 11.

Lindemann hit a three from way downtown, cutting the deficit to eight once again. After a pull-up jumper by Grant made the score 47-37, Kathy Cockrum netted two free throws and the Saints were within eight for the third time in the second half.

But the Greyhounds held off the Saints attack with a 12-2 run in the final three minutes. Merrick Volpe knocked down two free throws with 2:42 left, scoring the last of Siena's points.
