Erica Williamson is entering her first year as Director of Women's Basketball Operations for Loyola University Maryland.

"We are very excited to add Erica Williamson to our staff," said Head Coach Joe Logan. "She was a leader both on and off the court as part of an excellent program at the University of Notre Dame. Her extensive knowledge of the game of basketball, along with her high-energy personality will be a great asset to our program and to the Loyola community."

Williamson, a four-year letterwinner at Notre Dame, appeared in 130 games for the Irish, totaling 741 points and 539 rebounds. Her 125 career blocks ranks eighth all-time at Notre Dame while her 1.19 blocks per game average is the seventh-best in program history.

The Charlotte, N.C., native helped the Irish to four consecutive 20-plus win seasons and four-straight NCAA tournament berths, including trips to the Sweet Sixteen in 2008 and 2010. She was a three-time BIG EAST All-Academic team selection while also being named to the 2007 BIG EAST All-Freshmen team.

Off the court, Williamson served as the Student-Athlete Advisory Council President during her senior year.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Film, Television and Theatre, Williamson went on to play for the SV Halle Lions in the Damen Basketball Bundesliga Women's Basketball 1st Division in Halle, Germany. She was the starting center during the 2010-11season for the Lions before leaving the team after having reconstructive surgery on both ankles.

Upon returning to the States, Williamson became the color commentator for during the run to the Final Four by the Notre Dame women's basketball team. She has had various experiences on the media side of the business, including writing monthly stories for Shootaround with Beth and Debbie on and interning in the sports department at WSBT TV.

"Erica has had many different experiences around the basketball industry," said Logan. "Those experiences will allow her to teach our student-athletes and help them grow as both people and players."
