2002-03: Played in all 27 games, earning five starts ... was first on the team in blocks with 29 ... had the second highest field-goal percentage on the team at 54% ... was ranked fifth in the MAAC in blocked shots ... led team with 15 points against Niagara (Feb. 28) ... pulled down a team-high six boards at Iona (Feb. 14) ... scored a career-high 12 points against Rider (Feb. 8) ... scored seven points against Rider (Feb. 5) ... scored six points and pulled down four rebounds against Fairfield (Jan. 30) ... scored six points and grabbed five rebounds against Niagara (Jan. 12) ... had four blocks and five defensive rebounds against Canisius (Jan. 10) ... was named MAAC Rookie of the Week on Dec. 9 ... scored 10 points against Iona ... went 3-for-3 from the field for six points and had six rebounds against Bucknell (Dec. 3) ... contributed a solid performance in first collegiate game at Maryland ... had five points and six rebounds against the Terps.
AT SETON KEOUGH: Earned eight varsity letters in high school including four in both basketball and volleyball ... averaged 12 points and 10 rebounds per game ... was first team all-city, all-county and all-Metro in both her junior and senior seasons ... was a two-year captain ... Seton Keough was the 1999 Catholic League Champions and 2000 team were the IAAM Champions ... was class valedictorian, earned the Principals Leadership Award and Maryland Distinguished Scholar ... participated on yearbook staff and was the class secretary in her junior and senior year.
PERSONAL: The daughter of Susan Valderas and Mark Valderas, Jacqueline Lee Valderas was born Sept. 11, 1984, in Bryan, Texas ... has two siblings, Maria (16) and Michael (9) ... father played college basketball at Loyola and uncle, Robert, played basketball at St. Joseph's ... both played professionally in Puerto Rico ... a member of Loyola's Green & Grey Society ... pursing an interdisciplinary degree biology and psychology.
