Loyola University Maryland head women’s basketball coach Joe Logan has named Jenna Loschiavo an assistant coach, announced Tuesday.

Loschiavo joins the Greyhounds’ staff after three seasons with Patriot League-rival Boston University. Loschiavo spent two years as an assistant coach with the Terriers, where she was in charge of player development, recruiting and day-to-day operations. She also served as the Director of Basketball Operations during the 2011-12 season.

“We’re excited to welcome Jenna to the Loyola women’s basketball family,” Logan said. “Jenna exhibits a passion for basketball, which I’m excited for her to share with our players. In addition to helping on the court, Jenna will be an exemplary role model to our team. She will do whatever our players need to help them reach their full potential in ever area of their lives.”

In her time with Boston University, Loschiavo helped the Terriers defeat then-No. 17/15 St. John’s University during the 2012-13 campaign, marking the highest-ranked opponent BU has defeated in program history. She also helped the squad to a 24-6 overall record in that same year, including a 13-game winning streak. The Terriers earned a bid to the WNIT and recorded their second-ever postseason victory, a 61-42 win over Sacred Heart University.

In addition to coaching responsibilities, Loschiavo helped the Terriers transition from the America East to the Patriot League in 2013-14.

A 2009 graduate of Saint Joseph’s University, Loschiavo concluded her career as one of the top 3-point shooters in program history, ranking sixth in 3-point field goals made (150), attempted (404) and percentage (.371). She’s also tied for 10th in single-season treys made, recording 71 throughout her sophomore season.

The Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania native was a four-year starter and 1,000-point scorer at Plymouth Whitemarsh High School, where she earned Street & Smith Honorable Mention All-America honors as a junior and senior.
