LUTHERVILLE, Md. - Loyola's Bobby Gorczakowski was the last man standing Sunday, at the Green Spring Racquet Club, when he defeated local player Nevins Todd 7-5, 6-3 for the Green Spring Men's Open title.

The freshman out of Basking Ridge, N.J., advanced through rounds of 32, 16, quarterfinals and semifinals, winning three matches to advance to the finals.

Gorczakowski started off the event defeating Harrison F. Kunkel 6-2, 6-1. He then defeated John Healy 6-3, 6-3, before winning his semifinal tilt 6-4, 4-6, 10-3 against teammate Dan D'Agostino.
