NSCAA/adidas Poll - October 28, 2008
BALTIMORE - After two Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference victories last weekend, the Loyola men's soccer team remained seventh in this week's NSCAA/adidas National Rankings that were released Tuesday afternoon.
The Greyhounds defeated Iona, 4-2, and Fairfield, 2-1, on the road to extend their unbeaten streak to a national-best 23 matches.
Loyola is one of only two unbeaten teams in all of Division I - Wake Forest is the other - with a 14-0-1 overall record and a 6-0-0 mark in the MAAC.
The Greyhounds also garnered a No. 7 national ranking from College Soccer News, moving up a spot from last week's poll.
Loyola return to Diane Geppi-Aikens Field on Friday for the first of their final two regular-season home matches. Loyola hosts Saint Peter's at 4 p.m.
