Men's Soccer Travels To Quinnipiac For Saturday Match

Loyola extended its unbeaten streak to five-straight games Wednesday night with a 2-0 victory over UMBC. The win marked the fourth-straight for the Greyhounds.
Loyola is 5-1-1 this season and has won its last four contests.
Sophomore Geaton Caltabiano leads the Greyhounds with eight points this year (2g, 4a), while classmate Stephen Dooley shares the team lead with two goals. He also has two assists for six points.
Six other Greyhounds have notched goals for Loyola; senior Wade McHugh, junior Gerwyn Jones, sophomores Jamie Libby, Diego McQuestion and Vegard Vinje, and freshman Connor Thompson.
In goal, senior Kyle Wittman leads the MAAC with 35 saves, an .875 save percentage and four shutouts.
Quinnipiac is coming off its first win of the season, a 4-3 decision against Hartford.
Ola Ogonjobi led Quinnipiac in the contest, scoring three goals - including the game-winner with just over a minute remaining in regulation.
Ogonjobi was named the Northeast Conference Player and Rookie of the Week for his performance.
He also leads the squad with three goals this season, while three other Bobcats have one score each; Durval Pereira, Philip Suprise and Nils Von der heide.
In goal, Borja Angoitia has played three games, posting a 2.67 GAA, while stopping eight shots.
The Greyhounds are unbeaten against Quinnipiac, holding a 2-0-1 record.
When playing on the road, Loyola is 0-0-1.
Last Time Out
Senior Wade McHugh and sophomore Diego McQuestion each scored their first goals of the season Wednesday night to lead Loyola to a 2-0 victory over UMBC.
McHugh and McQuestion are both local Baltimore high school graduates. McHugh graduated from The McDonogh School, while McQuestion went to Gilman School.
In addition, graduate senior goalkeeper Kyle Wittman posted his fourth shutout of the season - 19th of his career. Wittman is another local graduate, as he attended Calvert Hall College.
Loyola will return home to host Fairfield and Iona in its Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference opener.
The Greyhounds will face the Stags Friday at 7 p.m., and the Gaels Sunday at 1 p.m.
Both games are scheduled for Ridley Athletic Complex
