2009 (Senior): Earned MAAC Defensive Player of the Year honors for the third-consecutive season... All-MAAC First Team... Named the MAAC Championships Most Outstanding Player... Finalist for the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award... Member of the Hermann Trophy Watch List... College Soccer News Preseason All-America Second Team... One of two players on team to start all 22 games... Started every game over the last three seasons of his career... Steadying force in the center back of Loyola's defense... Earned MAAC Defensive Player of the Week honors on October 19 following the Greyhounds' victories over Niagara (10/16) and Canisius (10/18)... Assisted on the Greyhounds' opening goal against Canisius.
2008 (Junior): Team captain... Became the first Loyola player since current MLS All-Star Zach Thornton, who received the recognition in 1993, to be named a NSCAA First Team All-American... Along with goalkeeper Milos Kocic, who was named to the Second Team, the pair became just the 10th and 11th players in school history to earn the accolade... Center back won his second straight MAAC Defensive Player of the Year award and was named to the First Team All-MAAC... One of five Greyhounds named to the NSCAA/adidas North-Atlantic Regional Team, he captained a defense that posted 12 shutouts on the season, good for ninth in the nation in shutout percentage (0.57)... Greyhounds led the MAAC in goals-against-average (0.66), which ranked 14th in the country... Started and appeared in all 21 games for the Greyhounds, totaling four points... Scored the game-winner in the 3-1 win over Siena (10/19) and in the 4-2 win over Iona (10/24) off a direct kick... Also named to the MAAC All-Tournament team.
2007 (Sophomore): Named the MAAC Defensive Player of the Year after starting all 23 games for the Greyhounds... Served as team captain for one of nation's top defenses... Was also a first-team All-MAAC selection and was named to the MAAC All-Tournament team... Scored three goals on only nine shot attempts... All three goals were game winners... Finished season with six points and .667 shot-on-goal percentage... Defensive unit posted school record 17 shutouts, holding opponents to under 100 shot attempts for the entire season.
2006 (Freshman): Played in, and started, 17 matches... Scored first collegiate goal against Syracuse on Sept. 1... Finished season with one assist and three total points... Was named second-team All-MAAC selection... Was also named to the MAAC All-Rookie team.
Before Loyola: Played soccer and rugby at Regent House Grammar School... Captained junior club to NIBFA Cup win in 2004... Captained Under-18 Northern Ireland schoolboy side in 2005-06... Won Centenary Shield with U-18 side... Also played for Northern Ireland's U-17, U-18 and U-19 international squads... Captained County Down Milk Cup side in 2005 Milk Cup Tournament.
