Seven Home Games Highlight 2018 Men's Lacrosse Schedule
BALTIMORE - Loyola University Maryland men's lacrosse will host seven regular-season games at Ridley Athletic Complex, including three against teams that qualified for the NCAA Championships a year ago, as part of its 2018 schedule.
The Greyhounds, who reached the NCAA Championships after winning their third Patriot League title in four years, open their home slate of games Saturday, February 17, when they take on nearby rival Johns Hopkins. Four of Loyola's last six games against the Blue Jays have been one-goal affairs.
Prior to the regular-season's start, the Greyhounds will host a pair of exhibitions. Loyola will play North Carolina in a scrimmage featuring teams that squared off in the 2016 NCAA Semifinals on Saturday, January 27. It will then host Richmond and York in a playday event on Saturday, February 3.

Back-to-back road trips take the Greyhounds away from Ridley, but keep them in the region, after the Duke game. Navy hosts Loyola on Saturday, March 17, and the Greyhounds visit Georgetown on Wednesday, March 21, for their final midweek game of the season.
Bucknell will play at Ridley on Saturday, March 24, before the Greyhounds head to Central New York for a Saturday, March 31, date at Colgate. Loyola then faces Lehigh on the Mountain Hawks' home field on Saturday, April 7.
Loyola closes conference play with two-straight home games, starting on Saturday, April 14, against Boston University. The game against the Terriers is part of a Loyola doubleheader with Lafayette that features Alumni Day festivities.
Army West Point, which the Greyhounds defeated in last year's Patriot League Championship Game, will play at Ridley on Friday, April 20, in the regular-season finale.
The top-six teams in the Patriot League regular-season standings will make the conference tournament. The three through six seeds faceoff in quarterfinal play on Tuesday, April 24, with the winners squaring off against the No. 1 and 2 seeds in semifinals on Friday, April 27. The Championship Game will take place on Sunday, April 29. The regular-season champion hosts both semifinals and the title contest.
