Myers Named Director Of Men's Lacrosse Operations

BALTIMORE - Former Loyola University Maryland men's lacrosse player Chris Myers has been named the program's director of operations, Head Coach Charley Toomey announced today. Myers, who graduated from Loyola last month, succeeds Joe Fletcher '14 who recently started a position as a financial analyst with Corporate Office Properties Trust.
"Chris has been an invaluable part of our program for the last four years, and we are pleased he will be joining our staff," Toomey said. "He brings a great knowledge of our program into the job, and we know it will be a good transition from Joe Fletcher to Chris."
A four-year letterwinner for the Greyhounds, Myers was a part of three Patriot League Championship Teams that also earned bids to the NCAA Championships. He was a member of Loyola's 2016 NCAA Semifinal team, as well.
Myers was named the 2016 NCAA Elite 90 winner for men's lacrosse at that year's championship weekend. The award honors the student-athlete with the highest grade-point average on the four semifinal teams.
The Havre de Grace, Maryland, native earned a slew of academic honors during his time at Loyola. He was a member of the school's prestigious Green & Grey Society that serves a student leaders and liaisons to the Loyola president, board of trustees and other constituencies.
Additionally, Myers earned Dean's List honors all eight semesters he was at the school and was a part of the Sellinger Scholars Program, an esteemed honors group in the Sellinger School of Business. He was inducted to the Alpha Sigma Nu (National Jesuit Honor Society), Beta Gamma Sigma (International Business Honor Society) and Chi Alpha Sigma (National College Athlete Honor Society).
During each of the last two summers, Myers held corporate internships in the Baltimore area. He was a National Specialty Programs Intern at All Risks, Ltd., in 2016 and worked at Kelly and Associates during the summer of 2015.
He has worked as an assistant coach for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Lacrosse Club since July 2014, while also volunteering for Harlem Youth Lacrosse and the Havre de Grace High School Boys' Lacrosse team.
On the field for the Greyhounds, Myers began his career as a walk-on during the 2013-2014 season and quickly cemented his role as a valuable member of the locker room. The Calvert Hall College High School graduate appeared in 11 games as a midfielder during his career, including six as a senior in 2017.
Myers graduated summa cum laude from Loyola in May 2017 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance.
