CENTERVILLE, Mass. - Loyola University Maryland goalkeeper Jack Runkel earned ECAC Lacrosse League Defensive Player of the Week honors on Tuesday after helping the Greyhounds to a pair of victories last week.

Runkel finished the week with a 7.52 goals against average and 18 saves as the Greyhounds defeated UMBC and Bellarmine University.

The junior goalkeeper made 11 saves and allowed just six goals in the ECAC-opening win over the Knights. He also had three ground balls and two caused turnovers in the victory. He also played well on Tuesday against UMBC with seven saves against the Retrievers.
