Loyola University Maryland men's lacrosse got a goal from Zach Herreweyers with 9.9 seconds left in regulation to beat Boston University, 13-12, on Saturday, April 16, at Ridley Athletic Complex. Herreweyers scored four goals, and Pat Spencer matched his career-high with six assists.

Pat Spencer scored a goal and had six assists, and Jordan Germershausen tallied three goals. Jacob Stover made 12 saves and allowed just one goal in 49-plus minutes for Loyola.

2016 (Junior): Played in all 18 games as the Greyhounds’ top long-stick midfielder… Picked up 49 ground balls and caused 16 turnovers while scoring seven goals to go with two assists… Scored a goal in the season-opener at Vriginia (2/13)… Posted a goal, three ground balls and caused two turnovers against Lafayette (3/27)… Picked up five ground balls against Towson (3/2)… Turned a toe-drag just inside the box into a transition goal at Holy Cross (3/2)… Had three ground balls and a pair of caused turnovers at Navy (3/19)… Scored twice, matching his career-high against Bucknell (3/26)… Also picked up five ground balls against the Bison… Scored in back-to-back games at Lehigh (4/9) and versus Boston University (4/16)… Logged a season-best eight ground balls and caused a turnover in the Patriot League Semifinal against Bucknell (4/29)… Tallied two assists, four ground balls and two caused turnovers againt Duke in the NCAA First Round (5/14).
2015 (Sophomore): Named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll... Played in all 15 games as the Greyhounds' primary long-stick midfielder and showed he is one of the top transition players in the country... Finished the year with 58 ground balls, second-most on the team and the top number for a non-faceoff specialist... Caused 14 turnovers... Scored four goals and had five assists... Tallied Loyola's first goal of the season just seven seconds into the opener against Virginia (2/7) after picking up the ground ball on the faceoff and running in to score from the right alley... Finished with a career-high two goals against the Cavaliers... Picked up seven ground balls in each of the first two games -- against Virginia and Penn State (2/14)... Caused three turnovers against the Nittany Lions, a career-best... Had seven ground balls and two caused turnovers versus Holy Cross (2/28) and then posted six against Lehigh (2/28)... Notched a career-high two assists at Duke (3/7)... Scored goals against Lafayette (3/21) and Navy (4/4)... Had four or more ground balls seven times throughout the year.
2014 (Freshman): Emerged as one of the top long-stick midfielders in the nation and was one of the best freshmen in the Patriot League... Played in all 17 games on the Greyhounds' rope unit and developed as an offensive threat in transition as the season progressed... Finished the year with 32 ground balls, nine caused turnovers, four goals and two assists... Made his collegiate debut with a ground ball at Virginia (2/6)... Scored his first collegiate goal and caused two turnovers against Towson (2/19)... Picked up five ground balls versus Lafayette (3/22)... Had an assist on the road at Colgate (3/29)... Scored goals in back-to-back games against Navy (4/5) and Boston University (4/12)... Matched his season-high with five ground balls versus the Terriers... Had three ground balls and a caused turnover against Bucknell (4/17)... SCored a goal in the Patriot League Championships Semifinal against Colgate (4/25)... Had an assist, a caused turnover and four ground balls in the Patriot League Championship Game against Lehigh (4/27)... Caused a pair of turnovers and picked up two ground balls against Johns Hopkins (5/3).
Before Loyola: Played both box and field lacrosse for Team Ontario and was a box player for the Toronto Beaches... As a high school player, he excelled at The Hill Academy where he was a two-year team captain.
