The Loyola men's lacrosse team received its NCAA Championship rings on Friday, October 5.
2013 (Senior): Team co-captain... Named to the All-America Second Team by Inside Lacrosse's Face-Off Yearbook.
2012 (Junior): Team co-captain... Earned USILA All-America Third Team honors, becoming the first player from the State of Georgia to earn lacrosse All-America recognition... Also received ECAC Defensive Player of the Year, All-ECAC First Team, ECAC Championships Most Outstanding Player and NCAA All-Tournament Team recognition... Led the Greyhounds with 88 ground balls and caused turnovers with 37... His 1.95 caused turnovers per game were 10th in the nation... Set a Loyola long-pole scoring record with 12 goals and seven assist for 19 points, eclipsing the record set in 1995 by current Loyola Assistant Coach Matt Dwan (11 goals, 6 assists, 17 points)... Picked up five ground balls and caused two turnovers in the NCAA Championship Game against Maryland (5/28)... Had four ground balls and a caused turnover in the NCAA Semifinal versus Notre Dame (5/26) after picking up five groundballs in the NCAA Quarterfinal versus Denver (5/19)... Also scored a goal against the Pioneers... Had two goals, six ground balls and two caused turnovers in the NCAA First Round against Canisius (5/12)... Combined for 16 ground balls, two caused turnovers, three goals and an assist in two ECAC Championships Games... Scored a goal and assisted on another, to go with seven groundballs and a caused turnover in the title game against Fairfield (5/4)... Scored twice, including the game-winner off the opening faceoff of overtime, and had nine ground balls and a caused turnover in the semifinal against host Denver (5/2)... Recorded an assist and five ground balls and two caused turnovers versus Johns Hopkins (4/28) and scored a goal to go with two assists and four caused turnovers at Hobart (4/21)... Scored a goal and had an assist in the regular-season meeting at Denver (4/14)... Also picked up four ground balls and caused three turnovers in that matchup with the Pioneers... The week before, caused four turnovers at Fairfield (4/7)... Scored against Ohio State and caused three Buckeyes turnovers (3/31)... Tlalied two goals and an assist, to go with seven ground balls, in the game against Air Force (3/17)... Picked up three loose balls and caused four turnovers versus Duke (3/10)... Opened the year with a goal, seven ground balls and two caused turnovers against Delaware (2/18).
2011 (Sophomore): Played in all 13 games as a sophmore... Scored three goals and had three assists while totaling 37 ground balls and causing a team-best 17 turnovers... Caused turnover with 10 seconds to go at Towson (2/26) to help secure 3-2 win... Had career-high six ground balls at Mount St. Mary's (3/26) while also scoring a goal and giving out two assists, earning ECAC Defensive Player of the Week honors... Tallied a goal, an assist and three caused turnovers against Hobart (4/24).
2010 (Freshman): Saw increased playing time later in the season as a long-stick midfielder... Played the majority of the possessions in the NCAA Tournament game at Cornell (5/15), picking up a career-high four ground balls... Finished the year with 15 groundballs and five caused turnovers... Scored his first collegiate goal at Hobart (4/24)... Caused three turnovers at Quinnipiac (2/27)... Picked up three groundballs against both Towson (3/27) and Johns Hopkins (5/8).
Before Loyola: Earned five varsity letters - four in lacrosse and one in football - at George Walton Comprehensive High School in Marietta, Ga.... Earned All-America honors as a senior and All-State honors following his final two seasons... Played in the Georgia All-Star classic and was a member of the All-Metro Atlanta team... Helped the Raiders reach the state playoffs as a freshman and senior... Team captain as a junior and senior... Member of the football team that won the region title and was ranked in Georgia's top 10 with an 11-1 record... Led the team with a 16.9 yards per catch average as a senior.
